A medical specialty that focuses on providing care for patients who
suffer from skeletal deformities including correction, prevention, and
treatment of those deformities. It focuses on providing care for disorders
of bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and nerves

Who is orthopedic surgeon or orthopedist?
An orthopedic surgeon or orthopedist is a physician who corrects
congenital or functional abnormalities of the bones with surgery, casting,
and bracing. Orthopedist uses surgical and non-surgical approaches to
treat bone deformities

What does an orthopedist treat?
Orthopedist treats a wide of musculoskeletal conditions such as:
a. Sport injuries: A sudden injuries such as a fall or forceful impact
which causes a broken bones called fractures. An overstretched or
torn ligaments mostly affect ankles, wrists, and knees. A repetitive
stress or pushing your muscles or tendons beyond their limits are
called strains including tennis elbow, runner’s knee, and lumbar
strains. An injury that occurs when one of your joints is forced out
of its normal position which is called dislocation

Torn ACL: it is a sprain in anterior cruciate ligament that stabilize
the knee’s rotation and control back-and-forth motion. It occurs
during sports and activities like running and jumping or changing
direction while running or jumping. It is associated with Pain,
swelling, and loss of range of motion

the heel becomes irritated and inflamed which causes swelling,
pain, or irritation due to a sudden increase in the amount or
intensity of exercise activity

Joint pain from arthritis: Arthritis is the swelling and tenderness of
one or more associated with joint pain and stiffness, which
typically worsen with age. Arthritis may be osteoarthritis which is
most common type of arthritis involving damage to the joint’s
cartilage, other type is rheumatoid arthritis in which the body’s
immune system attacks the lining of the joint capsule, the disease
process can eventually destroy cartilage and bone within the joint.
